Re: Cacti graph data not displayed - except in realtime...
I built a new server from scratch to do a new test - as well as some additional Docker instance and based on some other threads here - I'm tending to think there's a time zone / database / poller issue somewhere in the midst of this. On one system after rerunning the check DB after a good load of th...

Re: ERROR: creating arguments
Found out the issue... it was my font. Specifically - Queenie's - with an apostrophe. It worked fine in 1.23 - somewhere along the line up to 1.28 and 1.29 - the way fonts are being referenced in the output it's failing. I can't reference it by file name... And escaping the apostrophe doesn't work e...

Re: Cacti graph data not displayed - except in realtime...
I was thinking the same thing. Except it's a new install which means boost isn't enabled (and it wasn't). But sure enough - about an hour after I posted this message - graphs started showing data. The hour prior - the RRDs timestamps were being updated after every polling and the "RRDsProcessed...

Re: ERROR: creating arguments
Appreciate the response. It’s happening for every one of my thousands of graphs. When I ran debug the actual call to RRDtool was slightly different than what the UI shows as the command. But even when I ran that command locally - it output a graph to the file system. Will keep digging for what is ex...

Re: Cacti graph data not displayed - except in realtime...
Resurrecting this really really old thread... but I've now seen this several times on a new build as well. This time on Linux, however... Building out test environments. This happens to be a few Docker instances running on CentOS/Ubuntu... Deploy some datasources and wait about 6-12 hours... And the...

ERROR: creating arguments
Just did an upgrade to 1.2.9 from 1.2.3 and everything seems to be running fine except the actual image making of the graphs. I'm getting an "Error: creating arguments" picture instead of the graph: https://www.daveschmid.com/content/cacti-errorcreatingarguments.png My RRDtool Command is: ...

Re: Upgrade to 1.2.2 Cacti & Spine (Poller problems)
I have had the max connections at 2000 and when I looked, the most number of connections to my DB as been 303. I've tried several combinations of threads, processes, and script servers but those few connections aborted still sneak in - maybe down to 4-5 per 30 second polling period - and it's always...

Re: Upgrade to 1.2.2 Cacti & Spine (Poller problems)
Did you happen to figure out this error message? I'm tracking down a lot of aborted connections in my Cacti MariaDB. The first huge chunk of disconnects was simply having too many connections to the database because I set the thread pool waaaaay higher than it needed to be. However - I'm still getti...

Tried importing it into a 1.27 instance and picked up this same result as well:

Re: Color Picker Options?
I've found that using "Autocomplete Enabled" and switching to a different theme besides "Classic" works better for this.
Definitely made creating color templates from hex numbers doable. Easy enough to switch themes.

Re: Gradient Graphs for Cacti
Ha! Yeah - now I can see what transparency isn't a real good option here... At least with the type of graph I'm using... Even with everything at 10% it's still very hard to see... cacti_1401 (4).png Thanks for the details though - still may be able to design the graph in a way to make it work!! _dav...

Re: Gradient Graphs for Cacti
Was also just checking out an odd behavior with the autoscaling of using the Area graph item type. With the gradient applied, the "auto scale options" don't seem to be working. Using Area: cacti_1401 (1).png Using Lines: cacti_1401 (2).png Using Area (without gradient patch) cacti_1401 (3)...

Re: Gradient Graphs for Cacti
Thank you!! Love it!! Did forget about the fact that transparency goes away - but I'll adjust my graphs to make those work. Thank you so much!! Color Picker Options?
I've been a long time .8x user and have recently deployed a new 1.1.25 instance from scratch to see how things have been upgraded. A lot of nice features for sure! But one change that I'm really struggling with is the new color selection names. The drops downs used to be accessible by HEX code and n...
